Swarovski’s Greater China “Nature Reloaded” launch event took place for the first time in Taiwan at Chiang Kai-shek’s Shihlin Residence in Taipei on the 7th of July, 2009. Robert Buchbauer, Member of the Executive Board, and Nathalie Colin, Swarovski Creative Director played host to media and guests from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Coinciding with the launch of Daniel Swarovski’s 20th Anniversary Collection, the new designs from Swarovski as well as Daniel Swarovski were presented by twenty top models. The participation of celebrities and elites from various fields created a world class celebration of Swarovski crystals.

Crystal landscape garden as a magical fantasy world

With mountainous surroundings and beautiful gardens which can best feature Swarovski “Nature Reloaded” collection, Chiang Kai-shek’s Shihlin Residence in Taipei was chosen as the venue for the first ever Swarovski’s Greater China Launch event in Taiwan. As the former government’s horticulture management office, it was the first collaboration of a fashion event and CKS’s Shihlin Residence. In order to correspond with the theme, the best known horticulture exhibition hall was opened especially for this event. The hall was added more plants and flowers to the already well maintained garden to create an unequalled venue full of natural and magical atmosphere. An entrance hallway decorated with crystal blinds, a large LED screen playing floral effects and a wooden runway, which coordinated with a bridge, a flowing river and vegetation, all came together to bring to life a breathtaking crystal wonderland that could have only existed in our dreams.

Supermodels presenting crystal creations

Twenty supermodels from Hong Kong and Taiwan were invited to fully present the wonders of crystal fashion creations, including Lisa. S, Eunis Chen, Patina Lin, Shatina Chen, Bianca Bai, RuRu Lin, Yuli Lin, Liya Wang, Shattina Lee, Ping Wang, Gin Chang, and Yu Chung. The launch event revolutionarily incorporated fashion accessories from Swarovski’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collection with the latest Haute Couture designs from Paris and fashion designers’ custom pieces to demonstrate the aesthetics of luxurious fashion at a world class level.

Celebrities’ participation in this star studded Autumn/Winter 2009 launch event

The celebrity line-up at the internationally scaled Swarovski’s Greater China “Nature Reloaded” launch event in Taiwan is also exceptional. Celebrities such as Chi-Ling Lin, Terri Kwan, Sonia Sui, Evonne Hsu, Pace Wu and Ariel Lin were invited to attend. Chi-Ling Lin, especially traveled from China to attend this event after a long break from public appearances. She wore a silver crystal little dress and Daniel Swarovski accessories, dazzling each attendees from head to toe. Pace Wu once again made an appearance at Swarovski’s launch event in full glamour after previously attending the launch event in Beijing. Ariel Lin showed up like a princess by wearing the colorful Swarovski fashion accessories with crystal evening bag and playful bag charm.

Entering an enchanted crystal wonderland with the flow of Artistic and Electro music

French artistic musician, Erik Karol, who was the lead singer in Cirque du Soleil’s Dralion, performed new tracks from his new album with his ethereal voice to conquer the media and the audience by creating an atmosphere of a wonderland. DJ @llen, who is well known as the godfather of Electro music in Taiwan, played a synthesis of funk, soul, and rock styled electronic music to lead the audience to Swarovski’s unrestrained crystal world with his avant-garde music and exceptional scratching techniques.
